Dr. Leonard H. Smith, DDS

Dr. Smith is a 3rd generation Californian, born in Redwood City. He attended San Jose State College, where he majored in Biochemistry, and Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. Dr. Smith served in the US Air Force as a Major in the Dental Corps, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he completed his Residency in Dental Specialties. He has also completed basic and advanced training in Implant Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry and Sedation Techniques for Dentistry.

Dr. Smith returned to San Jose to start a Cosmetic and Implant dentistry practice in 1986.

He is married and is an active triathlete and marathon runner, having completed the Boston Marathon and Hawaii Ironman Triathlon.

CREDENTIALS

Dr. Smith has trained with some of the world's most prominent Cosmetic Dental Specialists having mentored with the prestigious Rosenthal Group in New York City. Extensive post-graduate education has lead Dr. Smith to be a mentor to other dentists for laser, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

He is rapidly becoming known as San Jose area's leading dentist for people who want Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.

MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Fellow of the Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Academy of Laser Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He lectures to dental groups on cosmetic and laser dental techniques. Dr. Smith is active in the Santa Clara County Dental Association and the California Dental Association and serves on committees which enhance and protect the dental profession.
